He was doing it to waste time. So much so that one of the Crapids defender had to take a goal kick because the ref cautioned them about wasting time.

If they had been down 2-0 I can guarantee that he wouldn't have picked the cup up or worried about streamers in the net.

Would people "get it" if we broke off with a "Are you Palomino in disguise" song?

Spencer Checketts was talking about the bad calls in the post game show and he mentioned something along the lines of "There's nothing we can do about it."

But there is......Dave/Steve/Dean/John; I'm about 99%; sure can nominate someone to the refereeing committee. I think that there are coaches, refs, executives and players on it.

Once in a while on MLSNet.com; you see an article from the director of officials explaining a call. Maybe it's only interesting to a Grade 8 like me.

But I'd love to know if we reported last night's Enigmatic Offside Decisions & what the result was.

That's the interesting thing ... Coach Ellinger is on it. Let's just say he is frustrated.

👍

During the game and on the field, after the game, they should be razzed as much as possible. It's part of the game. But after the game, in my oppinion, then the razzing should stop, or at least be toned down about 9 notches, and they should be treated as fellow fans and friends. That also applies to the tailgate, if they show up. At that point, we should all be fans, and all be friends, until our next game.

Anyway, that's how the RAF treated opposing fans, and that's how I think we should.

That's my oppinion, but I'm right!

I think we can safely say that pretty nearly everyone is frustrated, by the refing. I think part of it may be conditionning. It seems like a lot of the bad calls. especially offside, come from the refs being out of position (translate: way behind the play). It's amazing how carefully they watch their positions, for about 2 minutes after making an obvious blunder like that.

But on the other hand, it's hard to imagine how you can miss some of the things they missed (like wrapping your arms around a player and dragging him down). Maybe they're using a different rulebook than the one I studied (yes some of the rules have changed, but they still don't allow Judo, do they? I'm sure I saw O SOTO GARI.). Maybe Coach E should hire me to teach them some useful Judo throws!
