Zopilotes Del Norte, errrr, America USA done deal?

America official runs smack on Goats Lite

An America de Mexico official says that an America USA team in Houston is close.

He says it won't be an Old Age Home like Chivas USA.

But he also says he's going to bring in America de Mexico reservists?

How's that?

That was the problem with Goats Lite. They discovered that Primera A (2nd division) rejects aren't good enough for MLS, even if MLS is a Joke League.

Now the America executive says he's coming up here with reservists?

I still don't believe it.
I like America more than Chivas, but Club America cries wolf way too much that they are getting a MLS team.

I might believe it if Garber holds a press conference (seems to work well for San Antonio).

BTW is CA thinking their MLS team will play at Robertson, AstroDome or Reliant nowadays?

Rumor around here is that it will Robertson or the Astordome. Robertson would be my preference.

My Spanish is not that good. So I just caught the "They just brought in 23 guys off the street" blast. Hee hee!

Hectare to acre is the one metric conversion I don't know.

Supposedly, they have 4 sites of 10 hectares each in Houston with pools, gymnasiums, etc?

A hectare is about 2.5 acres, IIRC?

I thought I had read that the Unv. of Houston wasn't really interested any more.

I heard that as well, but Robertson still gets thrown around. It is a really nice staduim. I saw the LA Galaxy play there when they played a friendly against Santos. Reliant and the 'Dome are a pain in the butt to get to plus parking is very limited.
