I wouldn't get too worked up about this upcoming match. I'm guessing the players don't really care. It doesn't count in the standings and adding this game forced them to train for 2 extra weeks. If I were a player I'd be less than thrilled about that. So really.....what's the point?

One thing to motivate the players is Pastorino and Ellinger possibly giving the players pink slips after the game for lack of effort.

I am sure Coach and Steve are evaulating the players during this match, no doubt.

I'm thinking though that this might be one of the more exciting games of the year. We are going to have guys out there that don't get to play too much that are going to want to play well and secure a spot for next year.

Sometimes these "friendlies" can be great games to watch. Probably the game I had the most fun at this year was the friendly against Universidad Catolica of Chile. We came back from being down two goals and won 3 - 2 thanks to all the second-stringers that came in durring the second half.

C'mon lads!

And also if a player gets a red card it's not going to matter too much for the future. πŸ˜‰

I see a lot of physical play. I can't wait!

No, Coach has always said that the team would train until Thanksgiving or thereabouts, no matter what happened in the league.

😎

There have been several statements by Coach E that they are basically playing for their jobs, now. On the other hand, since it is a "friendly", it will be interesting to see if they do better or worse. "Friendly" means "no pressure", or at least not as much. It will be insteresting to see if that helps or hurts us.
