I hated "Douglas" this year (RSL better make him wear his last name on the back of his shirt, but that's a whole 'nother rant), but if he can actually play the ball out of the back, I can probably get over it pretty quickly.

Brian is from southern California, so he will get to go home. And he is now the 3rd best player on his club, after Ramon Ramirez & Brad Guzan.

Dunny hasn't been one of the 3 best players on his club team since he was at Cal State Fullerton.

If I can support the Galaxy with Danny Pena, I can support RSL with Sequeira.

But Sequeira is going to be in Germany for a while next summer; we think.

In theory, Ellinger can identify young players with lots of potential so maybe Jimenez will perform for us.

Sequiera always struck me as the type of guy you hate because of dirty, cheap shot tactics, but when he's on your team you realize his value. Kind of like Karl Malone without as much talent.

As far as being an upgrade over Dunseth, I completely agree. I think Dunny is one of the most overrated players on this board.

I like Dunny but I felt like he was getting worse during the season, not better. Not just because of his questionable play out of the back but in being able to position himself well to make up for his lack of pace. I didnt' feel like things clicked between him and Eddie when they played together, either.

Sequeira's about six months younger than Dunny and they're both in their prime playing years. I think what Chivas gets out of this is opening up an SI slot. What RSL gets is a player more capable of getting involved in the attack and someone in the back whose got some balls. One of the problems I thought RSL had at times was getting more physical and getting their body onto the other guys body. Call it being a hack all you want but you need some of that to throw players off their runs, keep them off balance, etc.

Isn't Sequeira a natural dmid? I seem to remember Chivas moving him to central defender from d mid.

If that is the case, wouldn't that help fix one of our bigger weaknesses from last year?

I agree that RSL needs an "enforcer" in the back. To me however there is a difference between an enforcer and a hack. I think Sequeira is a hack.

Yeah, but don't take my word for it, because I thought that's where Tiger should have been playing all year...

I give Sequeira credit for one thing, he definetly pushes forward and plays offense. Good or bad.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the move for Diego Walsh puzzles me. They guy will be 26 next year and can't hold down a starting position in the MLS.

I miss Dunny already. Chivas?! What a slap.
