When Clint Mathis signed with RSL before the start of the 2005 season, the club also announced that a partnership with Mathis' former team — Hannover 96 in Germany — had also been negotiated.

The details of that partnership are starting to be realized.

In addition to an exhibition game between Hannover 96 and RSL in Rice-Eccles Stadium next May, Ellinger also confirmed that Kenny Cutler, Jay Nolly and Jamie Watson will be heading to Germany next week to train with Hannover for two weeks.

"We see it as an opportunity to put three young players in a professional environment that is definitely different than the soccer professional environment in this country," said Ellinger.

The three RSL players will lead on Nov. 2, and return home on Nov. 16.

I hate Hannover 96. Dammit, why couldn't we form something like this with Hertha BSC. Oh well :banpoop:

Nope, it's Cutler. A few people were saying Novak for some reason so that's probably where the mix-up came from. But a few weeks ago Jamie told me it was him Jay and Kenny.

Yes the confusion was down to me... a source told me the same thing but when I posted, I mistakenly put Novak instead of the correct "Cutler"

Floggings begin at dawn tomorrow... Oh sorry that would just be soccer practice... so hard to tell the difference!
