So, if we were to play today...

(and everyone was healthy)

We would have a 4-4-2:

Tarley - Kreis
Scarlett - Mathis - Douglas - Williams
Cabrera - Eddie - Nelly - Broome
Nolly

Can't possibly be worse than what we put out last year. :dancing:

So your theory is that by replacing some of our players with Chivas players can't be worse than last season?

Hmm... considering Chivas record, I'd say we're headed in a frightening direction if that's our strategy.

There is only one Chivas player in there, and he is as good as they get (for Chivas anyway).

I agree with the Garlick for Nolly comment. Garlick would start in this formation.

We still need upgrades in the backfield and mids. And I am not sold on Kreis and Tarley up top. Too similiar in style (junk goals).

Plus, must we have Williams and Mathis out there at the same time? It didn't work last year...

Well, they did have a better record in the last 2/3 of the season. 🙂

I'd put it like this.....

---Tarley-Kreis-Watson
-Scarlett-Mathis-Williams
Broome-Eddie-Sequeira-Nelly
-------Nolly/Garlick

Not so sure about Mathis, but who else could we put in C-Mid? Cutler?<---Gross

I guess we could put Trembly there.....

Not impressed with Tarley...put Kreis and Watson up top . Williams and Mathis are not going to play together so that's not a good choice.

Kreis Update from desNews:
ENDLINES: RSL forward Jason Kreis, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in September, began jogging earlier this week. His rehabilitation is a few weeks ahead of schedule, and he's confident about being ready for the start of the season.

He really looked good and sounded upbeat at the "Meet the players" event.

And I think all three of the other players (Cunningham, Garlick, and Talley), will be in the lineup as well. At least, I'm pretty sure that the plan is to improve present performance, not increase potential.

According to Steve P, all three are projected as starters, along with Kreis. Although its up in the air if Tarley will be a midfield or defender and if Kreis will be a up-top striker or a withdrawn attacker.
