RSL Sightings

I put a Real Salt Lake logo on my MSN Messenger and in parenthesis next to my name I put "Major League Soccer comes to Salt Lake City". One of my teachers from University of Phoenix is on my contact list. Wednesday night he asked me about it. He asked me if I had some kind of affiliation with the team. I told him that I'm a season ticket holder. He told me that he's a huge soccer fan and his three sons went to the Manchester United training camp in the U.K. I was able to give him information about season tickets and he said he's going to get a set of three season tickets. I also was talking to a Swede at work about Real Salt Lake. He said he didn't know that Salt Lake had a pro team. I assured him that we do. He was very excited about this and said he will go to some of the games but probably wont get season tickets as he is going back to Sweden for a few months. The point to my story is that there are tons of soccer fans out there, the ticket price is reasonable (compared to the Jazz, it's very reasonable), we just need to keep getting the word out and they fans will come.

Someone in the RSL office had a Brain Cramp.

Even though I had picked up my scarf a couple of weeks ago, someone mailed me another one. I work relatively close to Trolley Corners.

I went back to the RSL office today, and I offered to trade back my extra scarf for a shirt that my 3-year-old could wear.

They don't have any now.

But for those of us who were, um, Trying within the past few years; they told me that they are expecting a shipment of kids' RSL gear.

Team Gear in Fort Union next to Tucci's has kids size jerseys.
I just saw them yesterday!

I saw a blue RSL hat at UVSC. I talked to the fellow wearing it and it turns out he is an intern for RSL in the equipment area. It was nice that when I said that I was a Loyalist he recognized the name and said one of his friends digs this forum and the website. Excilantro. 🙂

I was at Cafe Rio last week wearing my RSL home jersey. I probably have 6 people ask me which team that was. They all thought that it was cool looking. Some of the workers talked soccer with me while I waited in line. We had a good conversation especially when we talked WC qualifiers. The really liked the jersey, but thought RSL should have copied Mexico instead of Spain!

I saw a big billboard on the 6th South exit today for the team. It wasn't there yesterday. Has anyone seen any other billboards around today?
