I stand corrected. :o You can tell I don't eat the things. :p

Cheese puffs! I guess that doesn't quite equate with creampuffs, but close enough. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I was in a restaurant for lunch today and noticed a magazine next to Salt Lake City Weekly with a Real player on the front. It is Utah Health. They have a very good article on the team and a few of the players inside. They also have a nice picture on their website, but the article isn't there. If you see it, pick it up and read it. (As if any of you wouldn't pick up a magazin with anything RSL on the cover.)

One intersting thing I found in it was this quote under the Quick Facts section:

"Real means royal in Spanish, and the team's fan club members are known as the 'The Loyalists.'"
I guess we are famous. :D

How about this sighting? I was in the airport Sunday evening and saw 20 some odd guys decked out in Real gear.... turned out to be the team returning from Los Angeles. Most the players, wifes, others, sporting Real shirts, picking up their luggage, etc.

Fun stuff.

I read the article at Iggy's during halftime of the Galaxy game. It was interesting to read up on some of the players and details about them. The article was pretty condesed. It would serve as a great autograph page because the players bios are signature size.

I picked up a couple copies today of that one and found a copy of a magazine called Utah Spirit with Uncle Dave Checketts on the cover sporting an RSL Inaugural Season scarf. I picked up a copy and it had a two and a half page article about Dave Checketts and his family, as well as Real salt Lake.
Kinda cool, it was!

Real at Work

The Friday before the home opener I wore my Real jersey to work. A guy I had never met before, saw me as he was heading in a different direction and said "Nice jersey! You going to the game tomorrow?" And I was like, "You betcha!" It was awesome! :D

If anyone's interested in stalking Super Cleeeetus (Deuce, get your mohawk ready!), there's an ad in today's SL Trib sports section saying he'll be at a store (I think it's the Sprint store in Sugarhouse?) doing a promotion tomorrow.

Steve Pastorino and I ran the same race on Saturday morning before the Seedy Cheetos Debacle...

I saw this flash of red go past me and it said "SALT LAKE 05" on the back so I had to say hi and tell him he had a cool shirt as he left me in the dust. He was probably like, "who the **** is this girl that's yelling at me and making me mess up my race time?"

Needless to say, this was the highlight of my morning. I was all giddy and happy despite the pouring rain. :D

UTA has been driving around with tiny ads for RSL but today I saw a bus downtown that was a giant rolling RSL ad with Brian Dunseth the size of a truck. Pretty cool!
