yea, i loved Z93, now there is nothing that plays classic rock like they did without mixing it up with baaad 70's and 80's rock too.

although on KRCL there is a show, i cant eremember either on Sundays or Saturdays during the just before noon time, that plays some really kick arse classic rock. one show was all jimi hendrix covering bob dylan songs...excellent!

If you really love Classic Rock... which I do!!!
Sirius Satellite Radio has 4 really GREAT Classic Rock Channels...
Classic Rewind...
Classic Vinyl
The Vault
Buzzsaw

All commercial free...
I suppose I will stop plugging sirius... I don't get any money from them... 🙂
But it is good stuff...

Ahhh that stinks! I admit that most of my radio listening is 89.1 (Classical for those of you who never venture that far down the dial--and I'm not talking classic rock). But KJQ was one of my six presets in my car. It was the radio station I "grew up" with back in junior high days. I still have an old bumper sticker sitting around in one of my boxes of memorabilia. I was planning to sell it on eBay and make big money once the new KJQ got big. I guess now it'll have to remain "memorabilia." Shucks. Do y'all remember those bumper stickers? They had all kinds of different themes. The one I still have is a Christmas cow--very cute. I always went to Crandall Audio in Orem and picked up the new stickers when they became available.

My favorites on the old KJQ were the likes of Alphaville, U2, The Cure, REM, etc. I wasn't so hot about the early 90's Pearl Jam, etc. which X96 played more of. I guess I'm still in mourning for the old KJQ and now I have to start healing all over again. :o 🙁

yea, I dont go higher than 90.9 on the dial. I occasionally listen to x96 on thurs mornings cause an old friend of mine does movie reviews for a half hour. Thanks god for internet radio, cant wait until I can transport internet radio the same way we use radio signals now. cause all day without a wi-fi laptop by my side sucks!

yea, I hated it when KUER went from classical to NPR. Especially since we already have a good NPR station. At least it teased 89.1 into being a little bit more adventurous with it's programming.

I am all over the dial. I love the classical stations, especially that Irish music program that they do on sunday morning I think it is. I also really enjoy KRCL, they are what radio should be. I like X96 too, and I hit all the other stations except what they are now calling "country." It doesn't sound like country to me, it sounds like formula pop. My friends are always confused when I listen to Verdi, then Radiohead, then Kanye West, then Tool, and then hit sports talk or Mumia Abu-Jamal.

I like launchcast too.

The old Z93 was awesome... as was the old 107.9 with all the old '70s soul and R&B...*sigh*

I mostly listen to U92 now. 'Cause I'm all street and stuff, you know.
