Ya know, Dunny could be had for amount of cap space Brown is taking. 🙂

Since Dunseth was released, wouldn't RSL need to pick him up via a waiver draft? Or is the MLS not doing that anymore? Or is that pre-season only?

Dunny was at Rice-Eccles for the game Saturday. I talked to him for a few seconds but didn't ask about playing prospects.

Is this the same injury that ulitmately caused RSL to release Rusty?

I guess Columbus' training staff isn't really that much better.

Rusty had said that it was our training staff that made him appear to be injury prone...

Probably. But the rumors about him not wanting to play when the team docs said he was ok are sexier. Personally, I would've liked to see giving Rusty another try (assuming the story about the teams docs isn't true). I think it was worth the risk. Then again, look at the guys playing record. Other than he's rookie year he's never pulled off a full season.

I got to see Luke Kreamelmeyer [sic] play for Portland last night. He played the full 90 at RM for the Timbers agains the Minnesota Thunder. He had a decent match. More of the attack seemed to flow through the left but I'm not sure how much of that was because of Luke versus by plan since he was attacking down Frieland's side of the pitch.

I had a moment where I turned to my buddy early in the first half and said "That's why RSL let Tarley go." He missed putting the shot on goal from @ 7 yards out in front of it. He really should have put the Thunder up 1-0 at that point. Tarley had an alright night. The Thunder have a new coach and I think they're struggling to find the right mixture of players in the right positions. A couple weeks ago Tarley looked decent coming out the right side of the midfield in a 4-5-1. Last night he was the 1 and it didn't seem to suit him. Then again, like with RSL last year, there wasn't much for nice service, especially balls for Tarley to run on to into space (I think that's his biggest strength).

HEAD COACH CHRIS AGNELLO ON THE MATCH:
“Tonight’s win was huge. It was our first win on the road this season, and it gives the players the confidence they need, knowing that that they can win games away from home. Everybody came out tonight and played well; I don’t think anyone had a bad game. There was a tremendous team effort tonight.”

Interesting analysis. Do you think with the better service we have on RSL now (ie Medhi) that Tarley could be a viable option for us up front again?

Just picked this off Big Soccer:

Cabrera in Denmark with Viborg (a preseason opponent of ours) for two week trial.

Good luck to Cabrera. As for Dunny, apparently no such luck in him coming here although it appears the coach would like him back.
