Officially they have never been legal.

The players and coaching staff have expressed many concerns about safety of the players. So just because you have not heard anything publicly does not mean the issue is not being discussed.

Last season we had the season ending streamer salute that looked great. The operations person at the FO said it would be great to have a streamer salute, but he also expressly said NOT during the game.

I don't speak for, or represent the FO... but I think you may see streamers banned this season. But don't fear I believe there will be alternatives.

Under FIFA rules nothing can be thrown onto the pitch from the stands... Nothing.

So you take from that what you will... but if I were you I would expect to see a change in the stadium and FO stance on the streamer issue.

I hope that we can do like we did last year: end of game streamers. That looked amazing (especially from down on the field). But we'll see what happens!

I like to give streamers to little kids.

They usually can't hit the field and it keeps them entertained, at least for a few seconds.

We will make it a tradition to have end of the game streamer salutes, if I have anything to do with it. I've been rolling streamers into shorter rolls...partly to save money...and partly to be sure they never interfere with anything.

How about confetti? It won't hurt anyone on the field. It would be sweet if we had a pair of confetti cannons - one in the Loyalists section for north end goals, and one in the RCB section for south end goals. But RES probably wouldn't let us bring them in, right?

That may actually happen, maybe.

What may happen? The RES staff is vehemently against confetti cannons.

I was told by a representative of RSL that confetti will not happen til we get our own stadium. RSL is not going to pay for the extra time it will take at the end of each match to clean up confetti.

Streamers have a better chance than confetti!

Oh no. I'm just more interested in streakers than streamers. ๐Ÿ•บ
