If you are in Utah County, there's a great flag store on the NE corner of University and Center in Provo.

About flags - I assume they are only permitted in the fan club sections (Loyalists/RCB) or in the back rows, where they won't block anyone's view, right? I would love to have a flag right behind the team in section 37, but think the people around me would get too annoyed.

I've seen them all over the stadium. I don't think that there is any rule about where they can and can't be. Even in the supporter's sections, they are usually not waved during the actual game. They are mostly before the game, during the half, after the game, and when we score. Even supporter's like to be able to watch the game most of the time.

I offered this last year and nobody took me up on it. I'll offer again this year just in case...My wife sews. She's made several nice flags. If you would like a simple flag, I will ask her to sew it for you. All I ask is that you pay for materials and time.

I made some flags last year, I think I have two left, full sized. The rest I gave away.

My wife says it will take her two hours to sew a simple flag, you know, just stripes of one sort or another. Like the flags in this picture:

I'd like to keep the cost down, so that people will actually make flags...so I guess we'll say $20 for her labor. Then depending on the material you want, that will make your final cost. There is inexpensive material like cotton. It costs about $2 a yard, and depending on your colors you want, you might at most need 3 yards, but I'd say less, probably a half a yard per color so maybe $5 altogether. So a Cotton flag would be $25. If you want Nylon, which is better material for flags, but much more costly, then it'll run you more. Nylon costs something like $6 or $8 a yard. A nylon flag will probably run you $40. If you want a complex design, which we can do, it'll maybe take an extra hour or two, so at the most $60. This is for a flag without a pole. You have to drum up a pole on your own. Home depot has pipes and stuff to put yours together. I can tell you how, since I've done it before too.

These are the flags I've done so far:

The top two are nylon, the bottom two are cotton. The RSL design on the one was probably too complicated for a flag. I ended up sticking so much material onto the flag to make it that it doesn't really wave properly. It's too thick. The lions are a little complicated, because tracing and cutting that complex design was a pain in the arse, but they're do-able. The crown was not complicated, and waves great.
