I'm with you on this one, JLL. I hope Checketts can work out a deal, but I'd rather see RSL pay for more than $30 million, although the city and county still need to have a stake in it so that the south downtown area is redeveloped as a unit. RSL's stadium should be the centerpiece of that, but still only a part of the big picture. That means TRAX, infrastructure, and all that other boring stuff that is essential to making it all work.

I still think Dave Checketts and his managment team are way ahead of all of us on this. There's a plan, with plenty of options depending on how much support they get from the local politicians. I can't imagine a stadium deal not getting done with these people working on it.

Great reporting, Cup.

Is it April yet? Or, should I say IIAY?

I know, I know, I have failed.

I didn't realize it though until about more than half way through the meeting they started talking about the shedule and referring to the packet of info. Then I looked around to see if anyone close to me had one but nobody did. On my way out of the meeting I looked around to see if there were any extras or if there were any in the garbage but there weren't.

Finally I figured that if the schedule is out there that they have to announce it within a day or two. I thought maybe even this morning when I logged on to MLSnet I would see something official.

I only now see the error of my ways. I had the Holy Grail within my reach but let it get away. Damn my feableness.

OK, this is what I found out about the schedule. The schedule that they had last night at the meeting was not 100%. They are still working out the kinks with DC's stadium (they share with the baseball team) as well as RES (U football). So the schedule last night was 99%. They should have the official schedule next week.

So no one that went to this meeting got the mock schedule? NO ONE? 🙁
Can't we ask RSL FO or even SLC government for a copy of it?

This is the deal. The official schedule is coming out next week. No one has access to it before it is published in the local newspapers because of an exclusive deal the FO has with the media. So the soonest we are going to see the official schedule is in the papers next week. A big bright shiny star for the first one who scoops it.
