Looks like Aero caught that too. I was going to ask if the friendly against sigi's hacks was still on in Louisiana on the 11th. Any clarification from the front office on that yet?

It better still be on. They're selling tickets.

Ya, now that I think of it if the game had been canceled the all-you-can-eat buffett owners in Lafayette would be sighing with releif. Sigi's gonna put a dent in their profits!

OK, I was able to catch the last 10 minutes of practice after I found where they were practicing.

The team is a bunch of wusses!!! It is 40 degrees outside, no rain, and they practiced in the indoor facility! Maybe Andy and Attiba, and all of our Central American boys couldn't handle the cold. 🙂

When I got there, they were finishing up 9 - on - 9 scrimmaging, periodically rotating out 9 players. BJ even suited up and got in on the action. :coolio:

My first observation - I don't recognize almost anyone on the team! OK, it's not THAT bad, but it is neat to see so many new faces.

The practice uniforms aren't actually that bad on the pitch. I like them better than last year's yellow/blue attire.

Speaking of attire, Steve P. does a great job with his wardrobe. He was sporting ReAL colors with a red shirt and gold tie under his suit coat.

It is GREAT to have a goalie out there with some leadership skills! Sure, DJ had better reflexes and raw skill than Garlick, but Scott is doing a lot better job organizing and teaching the back line.

It sounded like they were yelling TiVo whenever Attiba touched the ball. New nickname? He looked pretty good out there and maybe he'll have some TiVo quality highlights in the season.

Seth was walking around, still not on crutches yet. Jason was there too, but I didn't see him on the pitch - might have practiced some before I got there. Didn't see Paul.

I retract my earlier comments on Brownie and Akwari. They are still learning - Scott was constantly telling them what they should do/where they should be. Still have a ways to go, but with a good teacher and experience...

Talley and Ballouchy really impressed me with their efforts/skills. They are the real deal. Mehdi was playing more central and right side midfield, not left. Of course, things are a little different in 9 - on - 9.

Cunningham was wearing #74 :eyebrow: Doesn't seem like a soccer number.

Can't really say anything about anyone else, as I was only there for 10 minutes and it was really crowded on a 30-35 yard pitch - hard to focus on individual players.

This definetly excited me for the opener! 26 days and counting!

OK, thanks - anyone have any idea what number he'll actually wear this year?

Along the same lines, I wanted to get a Kreis jersey with 100 as his number, but the MLS shop only limits you to 2 digit numbers (00 would be lame!)

Buy the jersey and then get it customized at a shop here.
