In light of the stadium location...
Denver Arsenal?

I would hope they don't use the Arsenal name because I like the original. Arsenal that is... LOL F$%& the cRapids!

We've heard rumors but nothing official. Arsenal has been tossed around by the fans, but I think the preference was Rocky Mountain Arsenal as opposed to Denver Arsenal. I personally don't like either. Also Rapid Denver or Rapid Colorado (Like Rapid Bucharest). And of course, the Mile High Club. I prefer to stay the Rapids.

We will almost certainly be going back to green next season though, even if we keep the name.

You are not the only team in the Rocky Mountains, we are! It is a common mis-conception that Denver is in the Rocky Mountains. It is not in the mountains. Denver is near the rocky mountains, actually on the plains.

So that would be bloody typical of the ego-maniacal Denver folks to name there team after a mountain when the team does not even play in them. cRapids play on the high plains, very reminiscent of Kansas if you ask me!

Where is the closest mountain to your team? Seriously!

Boy, that reaction is all the more reason to go with the name. 😉

BTW, blame the government (I asume) for naming it the Rocky Mountain Arsenal originally.

New cRapids Promotion starts today...
Install your seat... keep it for life!
That is an easy promotion when you only have 5 fans.

PS. I stole this from another board but I thought it was funny enough to post here. Props to Morgoth. Morgoth originally said 10 fans but I fixed his post here... There are 11 folks in the picture but 5 of them are trying to teach the cRapids fans which direction the screwdriver should face... and the guy on the top left of the picture is getting his flat beer ready to be tossed on visiting fans...

I like to joke with my uncles that live in the Denver area (Elizabeth, Arvada, Loveland, and Aurora) that they live in the biggest city in Kansas. 🙂
