If you haven't bought season tix yet, this might be the match that gets you to do it:

from Chris Keeney in the F.O.
Quote:
We will unquestionably reward our full season seat owners with any international matches or special events using tickets within their package. That’s how much we LOVE full season owners. Full season at Rice Eccles is your reservation for seating in the new stadium as well. Half and flex buyers would get the opportunity to buy Sandy after full buyers have been given plenty of time to select locations. That is out of respect for the financial investment but just as importantly, the time commitment that it takes to go to all of our games year in and year out.

Please understand that any women in attendance will be forced to cover their faces, be sitting during the entire match, and must be chauferred. Men in attendance will be forced to shave any facial hair beyond a well-trimmed mustache.

Provostan Religious Authorities will be in attendance and will enforce the necessary religious regulations upon all those visiting Provostan, including daily prayers to LaVell (Long live LaVell!).

If you are planning on bringing your own vehicle, please understand that Provostan residents have parking priority, and that a strict 3 block barrier between Provostan vehicles and infidel vehicles will be observed in order to prevent contamination.

If you do not bring a personal set of scriptures, one will be loaned to you. The only chanting permitted at the game will be the chanting of holy verses from the holy books. Hymns will also be permitted.

Conversion to Provostanity (Long live Provostanity!) is allowed, encouraged, and sometimes forced. Please see our missionaries for more information.

Any who decide they are above these rules will be summarily looked down upon and judged unworthy of Provostan's almighty soccer venue. Then they will be thrown onto an infidel bus and sent without delay to the Provostan border (Long live Provostan!) where they will be left to their own infidel devices.

Thank you for your cooperation, and we hope you enjoy your visit!

I never thought of Pope and Klein that way, but now that you mention it, I can see it. Oh and those Beckham and Ronaldo guys are good too. 😉

Maybe we should start speculating on which players the Galacticos will be fielding?
Is Beckham and Ronaldo going to be playing for RM after this season?

I am bummed that Michael Owen went to Newcastle and I won't be seeing my all-time favorite player in Utah.

Probably the best/funniest thread I've seen on this topic. Thanks!

Everyone, forget where the game is being played!!! We have a chance at seeing the biggest name team in the world - one of the best! Right in our own backyard. Whether that is 5 miles away or 105 miles away, IT DOESN'T MATTER! Enjoy the fact that Uncle Dave is committed to giving his fans the best! Thank you Mr. Checketts!

Those of us who are true blue resent that last remark! But we have to come up to the enemies camp all the time, so it shouldn't be all that terrible if you have to come down here for one match, especially since it is an exciting international match.

So there! 🕺 :dancing: 🕺

To think that Robinho, Roberto Carlos, Zidane, Ronaldo, Raul or Beckham could be in Utah keeps me from concentrating at work.

And its all because Dave C. had the vision of putting an MLS team here.

Thanks Dave!!!!!
