I'm planning on enjoying every minute of even if we lose. (Just so long as we don't lose to the crapids or chivas.)
Atta boy. Let’s lower our standards/expectations… That will make us feel better.

Here’s hoping that Cletus scores a bundle in tomorrow’s match and shows us what we were missing today!

Great shot... I am glad to see he is playing for RSL after all!

Is anyone else just a little bit giddy about the fact that RSL has now played it's first match?
regardless of the final score both of those reports are very good and I don't see anything in either that is overly alarming considering the circumstances.
Yup, you didn't miss it, Pablo is playing for RSL. The rumors were that he wanted to go back to Costa Rica. I asked him if he was really staying, but I guess his english is only slightly better than my spanish. I did try to convey that the RSL fans really wanted him to stay. He played very well.
Nice guy.

😎

Yeah. I don't think the goal at this point is to win practice games that don't count for anything. The goal is simply to learn to play together as a team, and get into playing shape. Considering that these guys haven't played together as a team before, the result wasn't bad at all.

Next time you see him, say:

"Gracias por quedarte para jugar con RSL. Realmente te necesitamos. Vamos a darte todo nuestro apoyo. No te arrepentirás por haberte quedado aquí con RSL. Hay un chorro de aficionados en Utah que están esperando para verte jugar."

I realize you were probably atleast partly joking but...

I would LOVE them to win every single game. But I'm also a realist an understand that most likely won't happen. I'm going to be a fan for the long haul (like all of you) and, was just thinking more out loud to myself, that I'm really going to enjoy this season regardless of the outcome. That's all. Go RSL!

Lets be honest, RSL was without Mathis, Pope and Rojas. Those guys are Starters. Add to that these guys haven't played together before. Finally, for 45 minutes, when DC scored 4, RSL was basically playing a 1-7-2, with Akawri the only player on the field to go the whole 90 and be the only RSL defender in the 2nd half.

The only player missing from the DC team, including their starting lineup, was Ben Olsen. Olsen <> Pope+Mathis.
