Maybe I just missed this, but at the bottom of this article: http://www.sltrib.com/sports/ci_3783529

It says this:
RSL executives are said to be negotiating to relocate the team to Phoenix. A move could be necessary, RSL officials have maintained, if they cannot get a soccer-specific stadium in Utah.

WHAT?

Dean howes said this in the tribune about Phoenix

When asked about a possible move to Phoenix, Howes said, "I am not going to answer that."

Thanks Deuce.

This quote is encouraging and makes a lot of sense:

Sandy Mayor Tom Dolan was more hopeful.
"We're still going to work with Real and see what we can do," he said. What Sandy can't do, however, is issue the bond to pay the $45 million tab alone. "We would need the revenue stream to pay for it," Dolan said.
City staffers floated the idea that the county ship the hotel tax money to Sandy and let the city issue a bond. Sandy then would take on the financial liability as well as the political fallout if the team failed.

If the SL County Muppets had not already said the hotel tax money will go to other things. I would be more inclined to hope for that but...

RSL lobbied hard for them get that money... Now RSL gets none of it!

Fixed Howes' post.

Come to think of it... I remember when i lived in North Phoenix that it was actually nice there... I mean if I don't mind having the Rocket Science as a neighbor and in the same supporters group I might be able to relocate to Phoenix.

I pretty much stayed in Utah this long because we got MLS... so why not move with the team...

Well wherever they go... unless it some silly northern state... I suppose I could move!
