All the news that's fit to print

Was there a thread about this somewhere else? I did not see one. My apologies if this is a duplicate.

Lots of good stuff, as always, from Notpele.

If Brenes doesn't want to be here and if the Costa Rican federation now considers Luis Marin to be "damaged goods" because the Ticos lost 1-2 at home to Mexico; how about this?

Brenes for Marin straight up.

Marin gives us more veteran leadership and maybe veteran leadership that won't be missing games due to qualifiers?

Maybe Mathis could show Brenes his pay stubs from his stay in Germany? Maybe that would motivate Brenes to stay around here so he can attract the attention of a European club?

Under what scenarios would Brenes be released, since he's under contract? Would he have to whine his way out, a la Carlos Arroyo?

During the next Transfer Window, RSL can trade him, let him go on free transfer or sell him.

If he keeps his 'Tude in check and plays well, maybe he can go to Europe & MLS can make a nice transfer fee.

I got to tell you that I am pretty impressed with Mr. Edward's writing and the fact that he even takes the time to post his stuff. I have bookmarked the Desnews and I check it often now. Thank you.
