Ug, Houston in the summer. Not only will the temps be in teh 90s but relative humidity is likely to be just as bad and the combo of the two is worse. It's the kind of weather you sweat in just thinking about moving.

RSL's fitness

This season I've noticed that RSL players are much more committed to working on their fitness in their own time. It all started with Kreis conducting voluntary preseason workouts. A lot of players showed up for them, and believe me, he was kicking everyone's ass (including his own). And lately there have been a lot of players at the gym on Mondays which is usually their day off (except for this week since they play on Friday). As the unbeaten streak has grown, more and more guys are showing up to lift & jog on their own time. This to me is a very positive sign of a group of players who are willing to put in the legwork, and who aren't going to start slacking off because they think they're the shiznit.

I really can't think of a better player to have as your first player than Jason Kreis. He is the ideal role model for a budding soccer player. The makeup of this team would be a whole lot different had they not brought him on board as an example.
