USMNT needs new away jersey

Given our dismal record in the blue away jerseys, I think it is high time for a new away jersey. Post your ideas here! Pictures are encouraged.

My idea is for a jersey with the primary color of red (a bright, nicely visible, medium red), with blue and white accents, like the Don't Tread on Me jerseys worn during the Latvia game. Heck, there's our away jersey right there.

The blue jersey can stick around, but only as a rarely used 3rd. Good for fans and Nike, and a nice fallback for the team if needed.

I like this red:

Using that red on this jersey would be nice:

That's my idea. Yours?

I liked the "Chivas" jerseys from 1994! We only lost 1-0 to Brazil in that jersey.

Didn't I hear somewhere (maybe even in this forum) that teams wearing red tend to do better? Was it ever determined that there is some kind of psychological connection with the color red?

They say that teams wearing red are more intimidating to their opponents. Supposedly.

There's a whole field out there called color psychology - these are the people who told Ohio State to paint the visitor's locker room pink. According to research, the most intimidating color is black. But, studies have also shown that teams in black get called for more fouls (maybe that's why the Oakland Raiders are the most penalized team in football). And I bet soccer teams wearing black are more likely to spontaneously combust during hot midday games, so maybe black isn't such a good idea.

I had always heard rumors about this, but I didn't know that actual studies had been done. That's interesting to know.

Too bad it didn't help RSL more in its inaugural season...
