Seriously, if football is only more popular because NFL scores more points, lets make a touchdown worth 1 point and not 6 and see what the scores would be.

This past SB score would have been Steelers 3, Seahawks 1.25

Guess it is good thing he didn't live in Denver when the Broncos won that bowl game... or in Boston (baseball)and Detroit (Basketball) when their pro teams did something...

I don't recall any riots in this country after a soccer match... that is 11 years of MLS soccer... that takes a large chunk of riots out of the total number of games that he says is after EVERY game!

I am still just stunnned by the ignorance of people... and by the fact that people actually print such uninformed articles... it really calls into question the reputation of the source!

I've used that argument many times to shut up people who use that as an argument about why soccer sucks. Like football is a demanding sport. a bunch of guys who have to hide themselves behind armour plating then can only play for about 5 seconds until they need a 30 second break.

He makes some interesting, ignorant points. I think my biggest problem with the whole thing is his tone. I don't have a problem if you don't like soccer, just don't go get medieval, man. To each his own.

He needs to be in Rice-Eccles when Cunningham or Kreis score an important goal. Then he needs to go to a Jazz game. Contrast is a great definer.
