Let's hope so. He does play for Chivas, after all.

I voted for Ben Olsen. It was either going to be him or Jimmy Conrad, because they were the only two who DIDN'T disappoint.

I was disappointed by everyone who saw action except those two.

Okay, maybe not his entire career, but a fairly large chunk of it. We've been wondering for years now just how good he could be if he were able to actually stay healthy.

Most of the MLS guys played fantastic. Those who play outside the states struggled. I found that funny.

We got hit with the SportsIllistrated curse (for those who don't know, if you're featured on the cover of SI.....you're either going to die, get hurt or lose a lot in the next week).

Unfortunately, my dad reminded me of that right before the cup. I just ignored it as a myth...

#3 - Carlos Bocanegra: not MLS, played fantastic except for his major clearing brainfart that set up the PK.
#4 - Pablo Mastroeni: MLS hate the crapid but had a great game before his Red Card. We needed him badly today.
#5 - John O'Brien MLSReally should have replaced Reyna today before Olsen.
#6 - Steve Cherundolo: Non MLS had a couple of runs but really wasn't dangerous.
#7 - Eddie Lewis non MLS had a great match today, but looked lost against the chex.
#8 - Clint Dempsey: MLS best player for the US in Germany
#9 - Eddie Johnson: MLS should have started today (to be more on the attack) the only player to show up for the Chex
#10 - Claudio Reyna Non MLS, freaking EPL! sucked sucked and then (shock) got injured.
#13 - Jimmy Conrad MLS Filled in nicely for Pope when he left against Italy and saved a (might have been) goal today.
#14 - Ben Olsen: MLS average, but showed energy, something the team lacked.
#15 - Bobby Convey Non MLS (EPL)the guy impresses me and he will be fun to watch in the EPL. He brought it.
#16 - Josh Wolff MLS did he ever get on the pitch...I can't hold that against him.
#17 - DaMarcus Beasley Non MLSI was so excited to watch him play this year. Wow what a let down.
#18 - Kasey Keller: Non MLSI think he had a couple of saves against Italy, but that's it.
#20 - Brian McBride Non MLS Playing the front of a 4-5-1 that....just....wasn't....working. You can't fault McBride for that.
#21 - Landon Donovan MLS (but played in Germany) I don't remember seeing him on the pitch. Someone come up with a chant about disappearing in Germany because frankly, that's all he does.
#22 - Oguchi Onyewu Non MLSStud
#23 - Eddie Pope MLS Showed his RSL form since the season started.

So a pretty even mix: 8 players with international teams, 3 showed up to play.
9 MLS guys and 6 showed up to play.

I'm proud of MLS and the guys who play in it. I wish our international players could have stepped up as well.

Funny, but I did see him on the pitch. He had a wide open goal chance in the first half against Ghana and sent it to Row AA instead. Then, late in the second half he had a huge lane to the goal open before him, and chose to dribble the ball into the defender. I get what you were saying about disappearing in Germany. The problem is, I wish he would have disappeared more than he did, like to the furthest reaches of the bench.
