There will be TONS of photos available of this thing. I bought a disposable and took just about the whole roll. It was SWEET!! They left the shovels available after the two teams used them for fans to take pictures with as well. Freakin' awesome!! My kids were bored with all the talking and stuff, but they got pictures with Jamie Watson afterwards, and my brother and I got interviewed by FOX 13. What a sweet day!

Rocky explains all the great things coming from the deal.

Madrid players ready.

Beckham shoveling dirt.

Lastly, Real players shoveling dirt.

Why not Real Salt Lake and Real Madrid players both shoveling with the politicos? Top 3 of each team or something... looked weird to me to have Real Madrid players breaking ground for Real Salt Lake's stadium while the Real Salt Lake players get second fiddle...I didn't like it. Thought the FO was treating their own players as second class citizens.

No Pete Carroon. I think maybe Checkets just hates him from the veto.

Otherwise, well done by all concerned!

Damn the construction on 1300S!!!! Coming from Ogden i was sailing until i hit that and then i ended up missing the whole thing. On the plus side the trip to the stadium site from Ogden isn't nearly as bad as i thought it was going to be.

I am only a 10 minute drive from the stadium, but now I have a longer drive than I was expecting to go to practice.

It's about sixes for me; 20 minutes to both RES and the Sandy site. (47th & Redwood)
