Curtis thought the Sandy location (where the land would have to be acquired and the field there now needs the infrastructure built) was a great idea, but putting it up at the Fairgrounds where land is publicly owned without having to purchased and where much of the infrastructure is already there is too costly. Yeah right. Whatever. Time for RSL to stop trying to work with all these politicians because it is getting them nowhere. Has to be a way to make this work completely with private funding.

Here's an idea. A few hundred of RSL fans pool their money and start playing powerball up in Idaho. If we hit the jackpot we'll send the first 30 million to the team that they say they need, then we can all split the remaining funds.

If I won $30 million in the lottery, my kids would be a little upset when I told them years later, "Yes, I gave it all to Real Salt Lake! You could have each had $10 million, but at least you can enjoy going to the stadium once in a while."

"Real Who?" 😉

I kid!! They'll say, "Well, it was only $30 million after all."

Coach's Corner - 7/20/06

Join the Coach and Bill Riley as they welcome Eddie Pope, Kevin Novak and Cameron Knowles. Topics include the upcoming Dallas match, last night's Morelia rumble, and a future USMNT coach.

Is anybody else impressed with Bill Riley's MLS knowledge? I am, considering Utah Jazz and college football are his talk radio bread n' butter.
