Yes, in principle it is fair. But I think his estimate is off. Where there 13K? Probably not, but I don't think it was half like he stated.

and its also not the only time they misrepresented the team with statistics. Remember at the start of the season when they said we ranked 8th or something for attendance but didn't say it was ttotal attendance over all games, and we had played less games than most teams.

Another person in the press box thought 9 - 10 actual attendance, that is still more than what Jay "I have an axe to grind" Drew claims.

Remember the first USOC match against Richmond. There was an article with a picture in the paper obviously taken during warmups that had a caption that said

When if they had taken a picture from the same place just after the match started it would have been a few thousand... I will admit that game was not well attended... but the paper totally mis-represented the attendance...

Apparently he didn't like it when Coach told the assembled reporters "Don't make 'em stupid, if you're gonna ask a decent question I'll answer it. But if they're stupid I'm not answering them."

It was Drew's first game, at least this season, and he didn't like Coach saying that. He also misinterpreted the jockstrap comment. Opinion in a column is expected, but I haven't really seen that much opinion in a match report before.
