Aren't you supposed to be working? Nice call on the donuts in Clint's pockets.

RSL regains 5th place in the Western Conference by virtue of goal diff.

RSL now has only an -1 goal diff. but is still tied with LA on 23 pts.

No, it is aggregate goals first then away goals. So, the only way that the Crapids can win this is by winning the game on 9/2 no matter what the score is. Any other result and we get the RMC.

The following set of rules will be used to determine the annual winner of the competition.

The winner of the Rocky Mountain Cup will be determined by the results of all regular season MLS games between the Colorado Rapids and Real Salt Lake, with points assigned as follows:

3 points for each win
1 point for each tie

The Cup will be awarded to the fans of the team whose total points are highest at the conclusion of the final regular season match of each season.

In the event of the teams being tied on points, the following tiebreakers will be used in order:

  1. Aggregate Goals
  2. Most Away Goals Scored
  3. Most recent head-to-head victory
Should the two teams still be tied at this point, the holders of the Cup from the previous year's competition will retain possession.

Well, while some might poo-poo the Cup's significance, it would serve as a kind of balm for 1 1/2 seasons of disappointments.

You're signing on while broadcasting?

Awesome.

Oh, and awesome job tonight. That was a great broadcast and it'll take me a long time to forgive the powers that be for not broadcasting that one on DirectKick.

Has science ever proven that it feels better to win, cause I think i feel the opposite of disappointment, but i'm not quite sure what that feels like as i have had so little expereince with it.
GO REAL!!!! Keep me in the opposite of disappointment feeling.

Yeah, Scholesy... Go ahead and knock all those freaks on the message boards! 😉

ha ha... Good times...

edit: for those who dont' know what I'm referring to, there was a lengthy discussion on the post-game show about people who "hide behind a screen name in their basements", bashing the team players and owners, etc. on BigSoccer.com and RealSaltLake.org. Spencer has had his fill of us, not surprisingly. He wasn't treated all that kindly here and neither is his dad, most times.

By the way, in that 3-0 LA win, Cunny also had 2 goals.

The first tie breaker is aggregate goals.
