Well most of us "fans" you know, the ones who pay for tickets/merchandise, haven't been treated kindly by the FO and Owner.

Threatening to move a team after less than two years in the city is low class, even if it is a ploy or a bluff.

Not really... I think it just got taken too personally. *shrug* I love uncle Dave, and Spence, for bringing the team here and being an awesome guy.

I agree with Fuegote. Even the radio interviews have been disheartening. "This Sat. = the greatest night ever... Monday the team goes up for bid."

But hey! What a great win tonight. I was able to catch about half of the broadcast in between commitments. Hatch and Scholes have evolved into a "brilliant" radio team.

Sounds like the crapid fans were in typical form though.

Denton tossed? Great, more time to work on the ponytail. Petke (Mr. Smugness) should join him.
They have become my most hated players in MLS. Well, I don't really hate Denton, I just think he's a joke. Petke on the other hand...

Yeah, my heart's really bleeding for Spencer Checketts. I know you've had a rough go of it and some of the dirty, nasty people on this board and some jerky poo-pants newspaper reporters have hurt your feelbads, but hang in there slugger!! I don't owe you or DUD a damn thing. Having said that I have recently switched my allegence from the FENoM movement to the SERNoW movement and the win tonight was a pleasant suprise. I still think we don't make the playoffs, but we have a good shot at the RMC and I'm just going to enjoy whatever comes along until the team is gone or I don't care anymore. Just remember dear DUD, that the opposite of passionate fans isn't passionate fans who don't like the coach. It's people who don't give a crap.

PS Mathis for Cunningham - best trade ever

ha ha... Good times...

edit: for those who dont' know what I'm referring to, there was a lengthy discussion on the post-game show about people who "hide behind a screen name in their basements", bashing the team players and owners, etc. on BigSoccer.com and RealSaltLake.org. Spencer has had his fill of us, not surprisingly. He wasn't treated all that kindly here and neither is his dad, most times.

Cry me a river. They must be in the wrong profession.

As long as you'd be willing to say that to his face, that's cool.

I see nothing in my post I wouldn't have a hard time saying to their faces. They're using the fans.

Now to be fair, it's rather easy for Spencer and Dave to go on the radio and hide behind the microphone. They should just not say anything and get this deal done.

I bet if they had tried to get the funding correctly the first time, the only posts they would be dealing with are the "fire ellinger" posts.

I just find it funny that another member of the FO goes on record to attack the fans that are keeping them in business. Anyone else find the irony in this?

The more the FO opens their mouth, the more likely I become to holding onto my season ticket money and buying Setanta sports next year.

Serenity now.

Like I've said before, this club is all about consistently poor performances with an occasional surprise. Enjoy.

from Elias...

• Real Salt Lake defeated the Rapids 4-1 in Denver on Wednesday night. It was the Rapids' worst home loss since a 6-3 defeat against the Dallas Burn in 2001. Colorado's streak of 77 consecutive home games without a three-goal loss was the longest current streak in MLS and the fourth longest such streak in league history. :dancing:
