Getting DMB seems like it would be a great thing. He seems to have lost confidence over in Holland during the last season and maybe coming back to MLS would be the cure for him. I would love to see him running up and down the left side at Rice-Eccles! The league and the cap are pretty difficult to understand but if I understood the deseret news article it seems like we might have to give up some players to get him because of the teams that are ahead of us in the allocation list. Personally I don't know of a team that needs more allocation help than us...Chivas sure seems to have been given a hand by the league since last season. So giving up players...who could we stand to lose and who is indispensible? For me...players I would not want to see go: Cunningham, Medhi, Talley, Novak, Basagno, Forko, Torres, Klein, and Kreis. I think we could give up anybody else in the trade. Pope is a borderline but maybe good trade bait because of his big name...and getting rid of his salary would proababy be good for us too. I am sure that everyone will have their own lists and reasons. Who would ya'll being willing to give up to get DMB?

In the early season winless streak I asked a team source if any moves would be made to bolster the team. He said that their might be a few dominoes fall that would bring a WC roster player to RSL. I guessed Marcus H., CC, or Bocanegra but petitioned for Convey. I'll take DMB. Wonder if we'll have to send someone to KC or Cbus.

with the national broadcast of Harris's foul so fresh on folks minds, I doubt there would be any takers.

I love Andy Williams, but he looks like the guy that would be lost in this shuffle.

I see one major problem: Too many teams ahead in the allocation priority list. I suspect that means any path to get Beasley to RSL is too complex to work out.

Those would be reruns I guess since only RB/Barca was on on Saturday on FSC.

I watched the game live on FSC and KSL (switching back and forth for replays... FSC was behind 5-10 minutes...)

Except that MLS has the power to shuffle the allocation list as they see fit. Remember, when Primadonovan came back to MLS Dallas was on top of the list. But he jumped the couch when MLS tried to stick him there. So MLS forced a trade where The Flopping Fish went to Dallas in exchange for trading places with LA on the allocation list, and the rest is history.

So basically all DMB has to do is wig out and insist that if he doesn't come to Salt Lake, he won't come to MLS at all. Then we'll find ourselves on top of the allocation list, minus a few current players for cap room.
