And by the way know you say you don't believe in personal attacks then ask that soccerboy respond to this post.

I believe in optimism, i'm ever the optimist at heart, but i'm also level headed and a realist as well. i would listen to prk's "trolling" over any post of yours any day. You want to talk about soccer, that's what we're doing! Some of us aren't happy with the way our team plays soccer sometimes. If that's too much, then you have a choice. Continue to post about how whiney we are, don't post any more, or Remember Rule #6 and don't take yourself so seriously.

I know I don't.

Because calling people "simpletons" or "lame brained" isn't a personal insult or anything... 🤓

Now if you have the mad FIFA skilz like I do, you can score no matter what formation you are in, no matter what team you are playing with and no matter who you are playing against. You just must not have the mad skilz.

You know fuegote, you're right. I've been whining too much too. I don't think I've taken myself seriously, but I was a little taken aback by prk (who I respected very much in the beginning) and others turning to personal insults, but I guess I have too. I'm sorry for that. I'm glad that you have set me straight. I will try to post with more of an open minded. (That's the serious part of this post)

(Now for my new pledge.) I will try to spell deafintion right. I will try to hate Ellinger with the same venom as the rest of those who do. I will also hate the FO with the rest of you. I will also demean with the rest of those who feel necessary the likes of Kreis, Klein, Cunningham, Pope, Akwari, both goalies, Williams, and anyone who replaces Ballouchy. I will complain with much disgust about any site, plan, decision made regarding the construction of the new facility. I will complain even louder about the necessity to play at RES. I pledge to do all these things today, so that I can look like one who is as smart as all the other posters on this forum. And my final pledge is to join the rest of you in a mad tirade anytime anyone posts anything that doesn't have to do with disgust over the condition of the team.

fuegote, thanks again for you kind correction. In reality this may sound sarcastic, and it is, but I do agree that I haven't help the situation here. Heck, my name knowwonnose, clearly states my philosophy and it is one that should clearly imply that I don't (or shouldn't) myself too seriously.

I played in Europe if that means anything to you. But it's not about me. It's about getting the coach fired.

FIRE ELLINGER NOW!

You're welcome.

FWIW, there is a reason for message boards, and that is to allow someone the means to discuss, critisize, villify, crucify, stand behind, throw under the buss anyone, person, place, thing.

If it makes you feel any better, when the Utes were in the middle of their funk last year, I stood by Whittingham and Ludwig. Key difference: First year head coach with a consistently powerful D, and they turned it around at the end of the year.

You have that same love for coach Ellinger. I can dig it. But don't get upset if not everyone is as soccer smart as you or agrees with you. This board would be extremely boring if there wasn't just a little bit of arguing between posters. So get back on the Ellinger stays short bus. Now is not the time to quit.

Sit back, enjoy talking about soccer and for ska's sake don't cry if someone doesn't agree with you. It's going to happen again, I guarantee it (If you haven't had a line by line thread dissection by Aero yet you haven't lived 😉).

[/attention to no one knows]

Does that mean you started for the senior squad at Barca? Or does that mean on your mission you played with the rest of your zone on P-day?

Here's why I ask: The reason I don't buy your optimistic opinion when it comes to RSL is because, honestly, it sounds like you don't know what you're talking about when it comes to soccer. I'm not making a personal attack, just an observation, and obviously I can't speak for anyone else - this is just me.

On this site, we're blessed to have some people with incredible knowledge of soccer - they've played, coached, reffed, commentated, etc. People like utah_heretic, Aero, fuegote, Bardguy, Deuce, JLL, (just to name a few - there are others). These guys know the game. Some you call optimists, others you call pessimists. While I tend to fall more in the middle, I read, appreciate, and respect their opinions because they understand soccer. Their arguments are well-reasoned and backed up by knowledge. I would even lump your nemesis, prk166, in that category. There are other people (optimists and pessimists alike) whose opinions I don't respect because they aren't backed up by evidence or understanding. To be blunt, that's how you come across to me.

That's not to say you need to be a soccer geek to contribute here - there are plenty of normal people who do so every day - but if you're going to engage in controversial topics regarding on-field issues, be prepared to back it up.

Again, I'm not trying to attack you....I'm offering a reason for why maybe you're not getting the respect you feel you deserve.
