So I go over to MLSNet to see when Kreis last scored.

I found 2 more intriguing statistics:

Chris Klein = no yellow cards this season

Jason Kreis = No game winning goals this season. (But Sequeira has one)

Their article on the game talks about how superior Colorado played and how rude and out of control the RSL fans were, including Checketts. Mentions nothing of the goal scored with a RSL player on the turf, or Pablo's antics, or anything. Of course, it was written by the enemy with intentions of pleasing the enemy fans, but our articles don't tend to be that biased, do they?

Wow. I hadn't looked at page yet. That poll is weird. About 50% of people are being rational and the others are just being crazy fans. RSL's going to win the RMC sooner than later.

I don't know what to say about the game recap. Some things were true like the 1 shot in the first half. And I'm not sure how much the press releases ever get into much detail on the game. Sometimes people mean to say something by not saying anything at all. I would think that's what they're doing by not mentioning the Ballouchy incident. I think the stuff about Checketts and the fans throwing stuff was put that way as the first step in making a public case. I'd have to look again but IIRC RSL released a specific piece regarding behavior. I think CO's FO is trying to do both with once.

I'm not sure why they wouldn't normally be biased. They're trying to put a good face on things every game no matter how they go. Like they didn't mention that Denton's been in Clavijo's doghouse since his red card when RSL slaughtered the Rapids at Invesco. That is to say, I'm not sure they're supposed to be unbiased. I don't think we should expect either FO to be unabiased. That's what the media is for. I do expect them to tell the truth though. I think the CO FO is leaving out important facts but not making things up. I wouldn't want my family or friends to do that to me nor reporters. I'm not sure how I feel when a company does it in order to try to look better. I'm not excusing anyone's actions on teh field. It's just that expecting unbiased reporting for the front office seems a bit like faulting a devout Buddist for not being Catholic.

I missed the injury to Ballouchey live, but saw it on my recording of the game. It was a pretty nasty fall, and it looked like the Rapids player came down elbow on back of neck, maybe not intentionally in terms of the contact, but I got the impression the cRapid player 'enhanced' the contact. It didn't look like he made the slightest attempt to let up knowing it might be pretty serious to hit a player in the back of the neck.

With that said: Play until the whistle blows!!!

What you are seeing is omissions, which is not the same as inserting material in order to make things look different than they did. We probably do the same thing if we were to content analyze the writings on the RSL page.

In addition, the MLS Operations Department will address security at Rice-Eccles Stadium to prevent a recurrence of the actions of a small group of Real Salt Lake fans who threw objects onto the field during and after the game.

Dear Rice Eccles stadium security,

Before you critisize the RCB and line up around E38, I want video proof that myself or anyone from our group threw anything on the field.

We self police and don't welcome anyone who throws stuff onto the field. In fact, we point them out to you. (hard core, I know).

Sincerely,

the RCB

Lame. Didn't they watch the game? I saw on TV where Pablo was stuffing his shirt down his shorts. Idiots.

I saw with my own eyes Pablo, I guess, stroking his imaginary enhancement.

I cant help but KNOW it would have been way worse in almost any other stadium in the league. Ok, maybe not in Colorado as they only have 4 fans. We didnt even invade the pitch. It was pretty funny though to see the look of worry on the seat nazis faces.

What a bunch of woosies.

Just to let you know. I was in E32 with the Loyalists. We had a Security guy in the middle of our section. I mentioned to him that we don't throw stuff; that it comes from outside our area.

He said he knew that, and wasn't in anyway abusive or arrogant. He was just looking around. I imagine he was just there as a "presence".

If you think about it, it is as much for our protection as anything else. With him there, witnessing nothing, if anyone accuses us of being hooligans and starting trouble he is a witness that there wasn't any from us.
