Listen: we can't trust the refs, we can't trust the opposing team. All we can do is trust ourselves. Get our shots in, play D even with a man on the pitch.

This was a rivalry game, and the teams both felt that. I don't think 'rado was going to kick the ball out, nor do I expect them to. they're trying to win a game. We just needed to nut up, get the ball back and kick it out ourselves.

None of this would have mattered much if we could somehow find a way to hit the net when we've got a 1v1 with the keeper.

Didn't Chivas do this same thing last year? Wasn't against RSL, but another team...slips my mind.

exactly. I'm hearing a lot of discussions today about RSL, Utah, BYU and how some of them got "worked" over.

the truth is, if you do your job, you can weather a couple of bad calls.

PLAY TILL THE WHISTLE IS BLOWN or the ball is out of bounds.

It was Romo (same guy that kicked the ball into Cleetus to set off the melee.)

Chivas was down a goal late in the match. A player went down and Colorado played the ball out to allow him to be attended to. When play resumed the Chivas player threw the ball in towards the Colorado goal to return possession to them. Suddenly Romo unexpectedly ran onto the ball, dribbled past the surprised Rapid defenders, and blasted an apparent tying goal into the net. Referee decided an (imaginary) foul had occurred and disallowed the goal.

Exactly. Isn't that what you learn when you're 6? Play until they tell you to stop.

Rip Ellinger if you must. He wasn't the one who gave up because it would have been nice if Colorado would have stopped. I was just expecting that someone would say, "you're showing your soccer ignorance again." :lamo:

There have been multiple times this season when we gave up a goal because we stopped....

The DeRo goal our first game (waiting for the hands ball call)
the dynamo second game where they kicked in a saved penalty

those are just two that came to mind. that's part player, part coaching.

I'm blaming myself for the loss because I wasn't there.
