Personally I like having them out all the time. I think that our goal celebrations are awesome as they are and don't need to be messed with, but the appearance of our section at other times isn't so hot, and could use a nice little boost. *shrug* It's all good, just my thoughts. Or shall I say just my $0.02?

I'd say let's just put them out for the whole game. That looked pretty good the other time we did it.

The streamer salute is on for OCT 7th!!! I spoke with the front office, and they say that if we give them our streamers the day before, they will bring them into the stadium for us on that day, and make sure they are available for throwing after the game ends. So, if you would like to contribute streamers to the event, please bring them THIS SATURDAY. We will give them all to Deuce, and he will give them to the folks from RSL on Friday OCT 6th.

Also, since the weather will be significantly cooler this weekend, I will be bringing out the face paint and wig again. You will all be able witness the firepower of the fully armed and operational battle station. Força Tricolor will be back in action.

Speaking of which, if any of you have ever wanted a red or blue wig to wear to the games, now is the time to get it. Every store, from your costume shops to your wal-marts are now selling wigs. Best to get it now, while there's still selection. I got my wig at Savers last year.

Unfortunately I will miss this week's match. My good friend has his last session of chemo that day and we are having a "Good job on surviving cancer" party for him.

... I guess it would be insensitive to ask him to postpone his cancer survival to another time?

Isn't there a chapter about something like that in Fever Pitch?

Best wishes for your friend. Hope he recovers to have a long healthy life. We'll cheer extra loud to make up for your absence.
