Denver Mayor Talking Smack Don't know if anyone's posted this yet. Scouting enemy territory, I ran across the following:
"Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper has also taken this opportunity to take the first snipe at our altitude-challenged neighbors: 'Given that the Mile High City already overshadows Salt Lake City by 950 feet in altitude, I look forward to seeing that advantage translate into domination on the soccer field.'" Gotta love it. Not particularly original, but good to see public officials on the Wrong Side of the Rockies are paying attention. All part of getting this rivalry going. Check out JasonCox and I's comments on BS. But basically the mayor is a blowhard. I like the C-Rapid fan's response that Colorado only lost twice in 2 years at home. However they forgot to remind us that they only won twice in 2 years too. All ties my friends.
Altitude? Please! | |||||

Typical RSL fans, can't even do simple math. That would be 15 wins vs. 3 losses at home in the last two years.
Oh, and just to give you a hand for later this season. 2 Rapids wins in Denver + 2 Rapids wins in SLC = 4 wins and the trophy for the Rapids... :D

Oh no he didn't just come over here and do his best impression of a smack talkin' Denver Mayor... Did he!?!
NO HE DIDN'T! Jason... the Crapids could not beat any team four times in one season especially a vastly superior side like RSL... stay on your side of the hill with your loser team in all of your loser-dom and keep watching RSL to see how a team is supposed to play! If your lucky we might LET you draw one of the matches, but don't count on it! :D Quote:

Instead of worrying about RSL, shouldn't Denver's mayor be worrying about controlling the riots that will place if the Rapids win the MLS Cup? After all, Broncos' fans had some nasty riots when they won the Super Bowl.
"Rapids win the MLS Cup........." Bwah ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Hey guys, JasonMa is RSL forums first official troll.
A troll by definition, is someone who posts with the exclusive objective to enrage or insite a person or a group of persons with negative commentary. Gee Crapids must feel so important. Now I'll tell you that even though the C-Rapids have 15 wins and 3 losses at home in the last 2 years, they also have played 30 games at home in the last 2 years, so their actual record is 15 wins, 17 ties and 3 losses. Wow, 17 ties. Really nice of the CRapids to give the away team 17 points during their "streak". Have a great day.

I object. The main reason I came her ewas to post the Rapids-RSL Competition information. So my "exclusive objective" was not to enrage you RSL fans. It was just an added bonus :D Quote:
15 wins + 17 ties + 3 losses = 35 GAMES! Once again RSL fans prove they can't do math.... Oh and Deuce, the Rapids did beat KC 4 times in the same season, back in 1999. And they were, you know, good, unlike RSL... All in good fun, just wanted to get everyone out to vote at realrapidscup.com

I like the fact that Mayor Hickenlooper (unusual name, to say the least) got into it. In fact, I think it's a good sign that he thought it was worth his time. Sure doesn't bother me. Good to get the rivalry started on all fronts, even with politicians.
