Jafet won goal of the week, giving us 6 goals of the week this year - tied for most with DC. Last year we also got 6, tying with LA for the most. It will be interesting to see if one of these will be worthy of goal of the year.

Talley's for sure! I believe they put all the GOTW's up for voting for GOTY at the end of the season. Although, Talley's will have stiff competition from DeRo's half field score, and Ching's sweet bicycle. I didn't think Jafet's was nearly as nice, as his seemed to come off his shin with a little less force, and wasn't nearly as good form.

What gets glossed over is it came off Soto's weaker foot. We've all seen overhead volleys before, maybe some here have even done it in a match, but with your off foot? Different story. Soto's goal deserves at least some discussion for GOTY (although I'm voting for Talley).

Good point, I guess I didn't notice that. I guess he's left footed, eh?

Something else that's interesting is that Medhi had a volley that he followed through on that may have connected if Jafet's hadn't as he was a foot or two past Jafet. In fact, I believe Medhi is the guy that Klein was aiming for.

Better than just being sour grapes for the next 6 months. And, it is definitely better for RSL players to win awards compared to losing them. Mmmm.... awards..ahhhhhahhhah :slobber:
