The Fuego will play all home games at Chukchansi Park, the downtown stadium built for the Grizzlies but also used for other community events. The ballpark will host as many as five soccer exhibitions featuring MLS teams such as the Los Angeles Galaxy, Chivas USA and Real Salt Lake.
Real Salt Lake will spend the week of March 18-25 training in Fresno prior to its exhibition game and the opening of the MLS season.

That looks pretty nice.
My wish list would include a trip down there.

What would be really cool would be if RSL did like some European teams and charter a flight for the team and the fans willing to buy a seat on the plane to go to Spain for the training and exhibition games w/ Real Madrid.

I know when Forest came over in '04 to play DC United, Virginia Beach Mariners and Richmond Kickers they chartered two planes... one for the team and some expensive seats for the fans willing to pay extra to fly over with the team... and a plane just for fans...

Kinda like RBNY chartering a bus to take RBNY fans to DC.

Besides it could turn into a tradition... and a money maker for RSL

We were talking a bit about Spring training over at BS.

What happened to training with Real Madrid in Madrid?

I think the Madrid training is still happening, but it will be a different leg.

RSL usually trains in Florida, between mid February and early March, then go to Portugal/Spain then finish in California (used to be HDC area now thats Fresno I guess).

So my best guess is that RSL should be in Madrid March 7-14 or so.

Gracias. I was lil' thrown off by this. But I was just thinking of the Florida pre-season sessions they have with the lil' pre-season tournie and then going off overseas for some games. I forgot about hte whoel coming back here for some more training stateside.
