I'm excited about Krispy Kreme getting so much playing time...
and just as I typed that, I started thinking about how the whole thing is going to be so exciting! MLS in Salt Lake City - yay! 23 more days until the first game 🙂

Preseason games are pretty meaningless.
But the Galaxy went to Spain & tied Osasuna (I think it was Osasuna) It could be Apples & Oranges. Maybe the Primera Liga's Osasuna played with all subs & Recreativo used some starters?

Anyone else see a trend? RSL loses when Mathis and Pope don't play. Both losses were during WCQ callups.

LA lost to CA Osasuna 1-0 and tied Real Madrid's "B-Team" (i.e. Reserves).
So the question is - Are the reserve teams better than the top 2nd Division teams fighting for promotion? Last edited by aosthed : 03-13-2005 at 09:53 AM.

I watched the second half of the Galaxy-Osasuna (Pamploma) on Spanish lang TV. The LA boys had nothing to show, they were up against a well orgaized team that played with their style (Spanish Liga) who did show the Americans some things: How to be on the field for 87 minutes and make the Americans sweat (but it was too cold) and have a laugh. Then turn on the go switch, organise one quick attack and its 1-0. The Galaxy did nothing to exploit the style tendancies of Osasuma: lot of backpassing and between backs passes and no challenge! Unlike the Blizz and Mexican soccer there was very little challenge on players holding the ball or on the dribble so players could run like the bulls do during the "running".
