Congrats to our favorite rookie, Jamie, of Jamie's Journal fame. We should shower him with praise in his email and let him know the Loyalists are paying attention. :D
"Pierce knocked Taylor down when chasing a loose ball but no foul was called. Taylor stood up and knocked Pierce down from behind and was sent off."

We also played against 10 goats...

Gotta do better against 10 goats.

(Also -- that's funny; Matt Taylor doesn't sound like a Mexican name to me...)

A first-year law student (or an America de Mexico-loving Paralegal) would win the lawsuit if Chivas USA tried to use Chivas Guadalajara's racial policy.

Matt Taylor supposedly speaks excellent Spanish. And Ezra Hendrickson must have picked up some when he was with the Galaxy.

You can't score goals by knocking the ball into the net with your Spanish Advanced Placement scores. Believe me, I know; I've tried.

Actually, looks like it was 11 for all but a couple of minutes at the end of the first half...

Taylor was sent off near the 45', then I suppose the coaches agreed to let someone back on for the next half, because both teams finished with 11 players.

Good catch. I must have stopped reading the report once it said that Taylor was sent off.

Its hard to keep up with the flexible rules of these friendlies...

"Just six minutes into the second half, Kevin Novak sent a booming cross to Taylor on the left side of the field. Taylor muscled past Ryan Suarez and slipped a shot past Guzan."

I'm sure he means Jamie Watson instead of Taylor...

Unless, of course, Matt Taylor, suddenly experienced vertigo and started scoring against his own keeper...

Hmmm. So, this match gave "Chivas USA its first positive result against an MLS side."

Don't know what to think about that...

Doesn't say alot for Chivas, but I'm disappointed it came against RSL...

Looks like they stole the match out from under us in the waning seconds...

Anyone notice that the MLS Chivas website used to be all in Spanish and now its in English?

http://chivas.usa.mlsnet.com/MLS/cdc/

Maybe it was in Spanish before it became a part of MLSnet.com

What I think is funny, is that in all preseason matches I have attended, they never had stoppage time. No matter what, without exception, they ended them at 90.
I guess MLS couldn't handle their Goats losing another one.

Nice scrimmage. 🙂
