Plans for the first ever RSL game! What are the plans for the game? Where are we meeting? What time is the Loyalists meeting before the game?
Everyone bring your flags to show off and wave (if the establishment in question doesn't mind them....). Everyone dress up colorfully and bring a friend. Who wants to carpool from Utah County? I am going to be there. I don't know how, but I'll be there.

According to our VP:
The next meeting is April 2 at 3:30 (an hour and a half before RSL Inaugural game) at either Iggy's or Sky Box depending on where the watch party ends up being at. Remember that the game doesn't start til later now because its tape delayed.

Location is still to be determined, because RSL is hosting a watch party and has not announced the details yet. Last edited by Deuce : 03-31-2005 at 10:45 AM.

While at practice today, I talked to Steve and he said that they had to cancel any official plans for a watch party. That means it is up to us to decide so we had better do it quickly. He did say that we should let them know what we decide on because some of the developmental players will still be in town and might need a place to watch the game.
So, where do we want to have the watch party?

Aero is right, I just the same confirmation from the RSL FO.
Remember that the NCAA Final Four is on Saturday, the pregame on KSL starts at 6:30pm, and of course LDS General Conference will be going on (that might be good for competition).

I had forgotten all about the Final 4, but that is going to be a big thing for most sports places. Those games start at 4:00 and 6:30. We are going to have to make sure that where ever we go that they will put the game on for us. This is going to take some fast planning on our part to pull together in time.
Any suggestions from anyone? I'll call around and find out if someone will put the game on for us if people will suggest some places. Also, it would help to have a head count so I can tell them how many people we will need space for. Any ideas about the number of people that will be coming?

Say you have 20 ppl and start calling.
Iggys and Skybox is probably booked for Final Four, but it can't hurt to try. Anyone else got ideas? How about that restuarant you guys had the Loyalist meeting at last week? Also, if anyone on the boards has a nice big room in their house, it could work there too.

I just called Fiddler's Elbow and he said that he would do his best to accomadate us. I put our names on a head's up list that we might have 20 people getting there around 4:30. He said he couldn't guarantee anything, but he would do everything he could to help us out.
I'm not going to call Skybox because I guess they are giving the team a lot of strife and Steve said he didn't want to give them any more of his business, so neither do I. I'm afraid that Iggy's is probably out too after our experience there last night. So, I think that Fiddler's Elbow might be the best place unless someone has another suggestion.

The one downtown only has one big screen and I'll bet that they will be showing the Final 4 on that. Do they have another section somewhere with another TV that we could gather in and watch the game as a group? I didn't really pay that much attention when I was in there.
I'll call them and see what they say just to check it out.
