Didn't the USWNT game have a pretty substantial walk-up?

I think it's a pretty safe bet that the north "end zone" will sell out -- it's always packed even for RSL games. I'd be willing to bet that the seats closer to midfield will sell out too.

From what I can see around the stadium for RSL, it looks like my beloved Undesirables Section and the section directly opposite in the southwest corner are probably the least-coveted seats for some reason.

Why do you think it is called the Undesirable Section? :p

Because everyone's afraid of getting eaten by a lake monster?

A quick estimate on those stats indicates that there are somewhere between 30k and 32k sold. The game probably won't sell out, but will probably hit around 40k, I'd imagine.

The US-Ireland match had a huge walk up crowd and even though the Blitzz game was the first game of a double header, the problems of late arriving fans all trying to buy tickets all at once at the last minute and missing much of the match were apparently as bad then as they were at the RSL opener against Colorado. This is another match where we need to get the word out for fans to buy tickets ahead of time and arrive with plenty of time to spare to get into the stadium.

I'm told that all the cheap seats and all the expensive seats are sold out. Up high and near the corners is all that's left.

There are several blocks of tickets that are on hold that may open up, even as late as game day.

I was one of those walk up fans. Couldn't get anyone to commit before game day, so I ended up showing up at RES with four friends over half an hour before kickoff. The line ran all the way across the parking lot. We ended up getting into the stadium just before the half. I would guess half of the line was last minute ticket buyers, but the other half were will-call. Those people were probably the most upset - they had paid for their tickets in advance, showed up to the match on time, but had to wait in line to pick up their tickets.

Maybe we should really push tailgating so more people will come early?

well on ksl they anounced that there were roughly 10k tickets left to be sold. on BS i estimated around 34k tickets had been sold with those numbers that were presented. with 9 days i dont think this game will sell out. i wouldnt be surprised to see a large walk up crowd, hopefully around 4-5k. if they can sell another couple thousand before the game day that would be great. atleast get this game up around 42-43k. the north endzone is already sold out as well as all the red sections and most of the blue. the sides of the stadium are pretty much sold up to row 50 and above. its just the corners that havent sold as much and even most sections in the corners have sold up to row 30. its going to be a very large crowd, hopefully most of it sticks around for the rsl game right after.

I can't even imagine what that will be like with 40,000 + fans all chanting "U.S.A." or some such thing! I mean, the inaugural home game crowd was sweet at only 25,000!!!

They had a walk-up of over 7,000 for the home opener...I would be stunned if this thing did not sell out...Wait until the press on the game gets started!
