Full. It said a voucher would be in there, but I couldn't find it.

Not that it really matters because I would have just given it away anyway since all T-shirts are made for tall people...

Cool!

I had a question about that though. How can I get in early? I have about 100 megaphones that I wanted to bring in early and spread throughout our section.

I won't be able to sleep the night before so I'll probably be up there at the stadium around 6 or 7 in morning anyway.

They must not like me in the front office because I haven't gotten my tickets yet. They better be there today. 🙁

I do have my scarf though. 🙂
Did anyone get a parking pass with their tickets?

There was a map showing all of the free and restricted parking included.

I wonder if I can park wherever I want with my faculty/staff parking permit...

👍

Nothing here, either. But remember that they did say there was a technical difficulty with the tickets and that some will come a little later, but still well before the home openner. So don't lose hope! RSL will come through.:D

yahooooo!
Mail arrived and my season tickets are here!
There really is going to be a soccer season, and I'm really going to be there!

Got my tickets, and my T-shirt voucher and my discount coupon, and a parking map and a sheet of information called Fan Zone.

Now for the bad news! Has anyone read that Fan Zone sheet? It states unequivocally that
Quote:
fireworks/smoke bombs, noise making devices (i.e.,horns, whistles, etc) (presumably that would include drums), Poles to display banners or flags
all fall under the heading of Prohibited Items!

Further, under the heading of "Tailgating", it says:
Quote:

Tailgating is strictly prohibited in all Rice-Eccles and University of Utah Lots. Fans are encouraged to join Carnival Real at Olympic Cauldron Park on the south end of the stadium beginning 90 minutes prior to kick-off for food, fun and pre-game entertainment.
We've been double-crossed and/or lied to!

I read that about the tailgating and thought it would be like the no-alcohol rule -- everyone knows it happens but unless you're really blatant, nobody will say anything.

Not that music and bratwursts aren't blatant, but...

I'm sure that only applies to all the rest of the people. Are you sure there wasn't a special sheet included showing the rules that applied to Loyalists? 🙄

I'm sure! And I know they search bags and do the other things they say in the sheet. Where I come from if it's a written rule, then that's the way it is. What's the point of sending those rules to everyone, then looking the other way when they break them.

I know they won't let me go into the stadium with a bottle of water. I've had to throw them away before, so why should I assume that they will allow my (very little) drum into the stadium.

If it's not true, it seems extremely stupid to write it down.
