We understand...
Mother's Day = spending as much time possible with the in-laws and anyone else my wife wants to see so I can earn more points to go to more games.

Some one should translate from Spanish the bylaws of the Dorados (Mexico) fan club. Even with my very limited Spainsh they are very good. www.doradosfc.com

Just translate to the best of your abilities.

Last time we tried this whole Spanish translation process, we got bogged down in ppl debating over the correct translation.

I leave entirely in the hands of the Brothers.

One problem with translation is that people think it is much easier than it is. This is the business I am in, and I would like to suggest in the strongest terms possible that translation of the web page NOT be left to someone who doesn't have Spanish as their native language and significant experience with translation. Having an RM from a Spanish speaking country is a particularly bad idea as it will really just lead to major embarassment. (And I say this as a RM who learned a foreign language, went on to get a Ph.D in that language, am a university professor in that language and linguistics, and still would never attempt to translate from English into that language, only into English.) Likewise, simply being a fluent, native Spanish speaker is no guarantee of any particular ability in translation, much as having a heart does not make you a cardiologist.

Our company would be pleased to do it, we currently have 2 former pro and one semi-pro soccer players (who also have B.A.s or M.A.s in Spanish translation) who do English > Spanish in our soccer translation department. However, since we are currently flooded with paid jobs from MLS, MISL and other leagues around the world, you may not be able to expect the quickest turn-around time from us.

I am sure I am coming of as a class A prick in this post, but I have seen far too many poorly done translation jobs. Seriously, poorly translated content would be much worse than no content.

We tried a company before and they were less effective.
So now we are trying this method.

Lets let alianza & fuegote try it and if it doesn't work right, then complain.

Thanks
