USMNT Forum?

Hey Neil with USA World Cup Qualifying coming up maybe we could use a separate forum for US National Soccer?

I second that!

I know it is really early to be asking this... but are we, as a club, going to be hosting any World Cup viewing parties?
It is a 7-8 hour time difference so most matches are going to be morning to early afternoon. I am thinking of renting a large screen tv for the WC...

I was in England for the '02 WC. In England it was like a National Holiday and it was expected of you to leave work to go to the pub for the matches. I saw every televised match. Which was all but the final group matches which were played simultaniously... and only one was broadcast.

What did you do here with the 14 hour time difference from '02 WC?

I was in Italy for '02 and it was the same there. Every store was closed during the Italy matches and it was really a festive atmosphere all over. When Senegal beat France in that first match, the Senegalese were all riding their mopeds around with Senegal flags, with us and all the Italians cheering them on! Lots of fun...

but anyway, yeah how about a USMNT forum?

I'll set it up in a sec. However, I refer you to this thread:

That's right, this first one ever, where I am asked to keep things focused and to remove the USMNT forum. Make up your minds people!!!! :D

I assume the same alibi as Czar Jake on that one...

The forum is however growing and i am more and more finding BS and OB full of muck-rakers and nit-pickers so it is nice to have a relative safe haven.

I think I was just referred to as both a "muck-raker" and "nit-picker."

I was simply giving advice based on FAILED forums that I have seen in the past! Silly me for trying to give ideas on how not to fail. (Silly Neil for thanking me for the suggestion!) 😉

forgive me if I missed the sarcasm in this...

I was referring to Big Soccer and Onion Bag forums as being full of muck rakers and nit pickers... not you Jules! I know you are on BS but I can assure you that I was not reffering to you.

It is fun to rip on people but I think alot of people take it all and themselves too seriously over on those other boards.

That's for sure. People take things way too seriously way too much of the time.
