rep

Is rep(utation) being used here, and if so, how? I notice that everyone is on a distinguished path right now, and on my user screen I don't see it anywhere. Am I just not looking in the right place? I did try to give rep to see if it works, but then again maybe I don't have enough rep to add to someone's. Wanna clue me in a little?

I gave you some good rep for that comment.

There's a little icon in the upper right corner of each post (I think it has a little check mark on it) which you can click to add rep. My question is can I see the details of other people's rep? All I know is that I can see the comments other people make about me when I click into my profile. Any answers?

Ok, I think I got your rep, did it say "yes rep works" or something like that? However the little box was grey, not green, which in another website I believe means the person giving rep does not have enough to make any difference. If we all start out with low rep, how can we give it to each other? anyway I think the rep thing is fun, you get rewarded for making good or funny comments.

I just noticed something interesting. When you go to see the rep you've received, you can't see the name of the person who gave you the rep. Isn't that standard over at the "other" forum? (The silent forum (which appears to use the same software and all...))

Yeah I was wondering that too. The other forum does indeed tell you who sent you rep. Neil? Could you throw us a bone?

I've set the minimum number of posts for rep to 10 so it should start working better now.

Sorry to bring this up again.. but I'm not sure if rep is working still. The little boxes still are grey and don't effect rep points, at least the ones given to me haven't. Does everyone have too low of rep to effect each other? Has anyone gotten a green rep box? Do horses have socks?

Also is there any way we can tell who sent rep?

I'm curious about all that too.

I don't know if montgjules is curious, but I certainly am. 🙂
