Rover I didn't think it was too much either!

My opinion... it is written to no one in particular;
I think it is ok to have descenting opinions... even militant opinions but putting a descenting/militant opinion into action is when the line is crossed in my book!
However the problem with expressing a descenting or militant opinion you run the risk of people taking you too seriously and/or taking what you say as an excuse or directive to change that opinion into a plan of attack.

Obviously no one wants to be associated with the incident that took place over the weekend however many of us here and on other boards expressed our anger over the legislation, and even suggested methods of 'just' retaliation. Most well adjusted people saw this simply for what it was, an obvious puffing out and beating of the chest that in animal world means nothing... however someone saw it as justification for action.

The actions were patently juvenile in nature, however they carried a real price(pun not intended) and as a group we will be tarred with the same brush as the person (or persons) truly responsible for it! It will take some serious PR to repair this.

Lesson learned... for me at least...
I sincerely hope nothing like this, whether juvenile or decidedly worse, is repeated in future.

Go Real!

Hasn't it occured to anybody else that the most obvious culprit for this was somebody who DOES post here and we DO know? It doesn't matter really, because whoever's responsible isn't going to jump up and down and yell, "I did it! Please insult me some more!"

I'm happy to just think maybe this was a mistake that got blown out of proportion and shouldn't be as big of a deal as we're making it out to be.

That being said, we're working on a press release to smooth things over. Just pray that somebody--anybody--picks it up and publishes it for us.

Who else here thinks that montgjules wasn't REALLY busy at home with twins last weekend, and that the whole "pregnancy" thing was all an elaborate cover?

Now that I've been off bedrest for a few weeks and the surgery is a few weeks behind me, I'm enjoying a little more freedom than before and EMBRACING it, baby!

Please check out our website where it says that The Loyalists do not tolerate hooligan, racist, vulgar, or violent behavior. You have posted elsewhere to "be men about this". You have a distorted view of what a man is and does and the freedoms that the US of A affords us. But you are correct when you say "it sent a message". That brilliant message seems to be: build me a stadium or I'll terrorize your family.

A year ago SLC was bait to get Seattle off their butts. I never dreamed we would get a team here in my generation. Please don't taint the water before we are able to convince a few people that soccer isn't what Jime Rome says it is.

I realize all this talk may just be internet shtick but I am a little jumpy from the negative press we have received the last few days. Sadly, you seem to relish it.

Couldn't agree more, Loyal. Nothing to add--you hit center mass on this post.

Let us know how the press release goes. I think that it would be helpful to put the Loyalists and their anti-hooliganism attitude on the map a little bit. Perhaps you could send a copy to Doug Robinson at the Deseret News because he seems to think we're all silly billies. A letter to the opposite of hate mail would be a nice touch for Doug.

That's because Doug is a "silly billy". You know how the old saying goes... it takes one to know one. I seriously doubt anything will influence Mr. Robinson's opinion though. Most likely he would just take the letter and mock it in his next column and call all soccer fans pacifist babies that can't take a joke.

Holy cow! Excuse yourself and your arrogance. I dont think that you should be turning away fans when your headcount is only like 30. Im young and want to have fun while it lasts, your obviously old and want to sit while watching a game...thats what LAZYBOYs are for.

No hard feelings...but YOU attacked me over a forum post. I dont appreciate it.
OF COURSE im NOT going to spit on anything sheesh
OF COURSE im NOT going to yell racial slurs

OF COURSE i WILL make NOISE
OF COURSE i WILL be TIPSY
OF COURSE i WILL be SUPPORTING my team and my fellow fans (even in the face of inguous acts)

if YOU are afraid of hanging out with people like me and those coming down with me thats your problem.

Alright people calm down.
Don't make me use my mod stick on you.
The point of this thread is to discuss Shirts, Flags and Banners.
If you want to argue I recommend email, PMs or BS.com.

Just chowing down on my morning Jell-O. Life is good.

Speaking of flags, I may have missed it, but has a determination come down from the FO on poles? I've seen poles at Ute games, usually the extendable kind.
