Yes, let's get this back to the topic. Loyal1 has reported that flags are a go, and I would assume that means poles as well.

Is anyone else working on any flags or banners?

What is the best way to go about making a flag? I'm pretty new to this, so I thought I might ask you experts and avoid some newbie mistakes by getting some good advice.

Here's what I did:

1. Come up with a design
2. Buy some plasticky fabric
3. Cut out the shapes for the design
4. Sew it together using my mother's sewing machine

That's all there is to it!

Is there an easy trick to enlarging a pattern? My drawing skills suck.

And what if you don't have a sewing machine or a mother with a sewing machine?

What I do is decide what size I want the flag to be (i.e. 4x3' or something) and then try to sort it out mathematically. For the crown I made, I just eyeballed it and drew it by hand first on a piece of cardboard, then traced it onto the cloth and cut it from there.

If you don't have a sewing machine or a mother... try your wife?

Why would I have to rent them? I own all of them. 🙂

I haven't had the chance to do that yet, but I fully plan on it. 🙂
