England Roster vs. U.S.

I heard yesterday on ESPN that Beckham might be able to play in Chicago due to a yellow card suspension for Real Madrid's final game. Looked online for any updates and found these articles.

"Becks' absence confirmed"
http://www.thefa.com/England/SeniorTeam/NewsAndFeatures/Postings/2005/05/England_BeckhamUnavailable.htm

"Young handed chance"
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/team?id=448&cc=5901

Beckham, Owens, and now Neville will not be in Chicago.

Wayne Rooney won't be able to be at the May 28 match because, get this, he is on vacation.

Feel the love.

Maybe I'm totally clueless but shouldn't Liverpool have more players on the team?

Liverpool only finished 5th in the EPL. So maybe they should have one player, Steve Gerrad?
Not even Vegas thought Liverpool would make it to the CL final.

A stacked line-up if you ask me. Definitely worth the price of admission…

BTW I read this in Soccer America today, I thought you might be interested to know Liverpool only fielded 2 English players in their CL win on Wed. Maybe thats why Liverpool doesn't have any call-ups. They are like Arsenal, they are an English team with no English players (or like Chivas USA with no Americans...).

LIVERPOOL and AC Milan served up the highest-scoring final in Europe's premier club competition since Benfica's 5-3 triumph over Real Madrid in 1962. Liverpool, which won on a penalty-kick tiebreaker after the game ended at 3-3, had trailed 3-0 at halftime before scoring three goals in six minutes. That marks the biggest final-game comeback in the European Cup's 50 year history. Liverpool, which fielded two Englishmen against AC Milan, also set the mark for fewest "home" players used by a winning team in the final.
