I don't think that he has signed a contract yet. And now that I think about it, I'm not sure if he even had a number on his training jersey last night. I'll have to look at my pictures tonight to make sure.

One more thing, I agree with Deuce, Jamie's header in the second half was a pretty amazing diving header. He said after the game that he didn't think he could get that high or vertical like that. Well, I guess he can.

This "Utah Select" intrigues me.

Who played for them? Blitzz Alumni? Liga Latinoamericana players? Weber State Club Team players?

I don't know if I am correct on this, but I think the coach of Utah's State Select team is Chris Dorich who is the current coach of Westminster's College men's soccer team. I am guessing the players on the team or at least most of them are probably Westminster College soccer players.

Does anyone know the lineup or have the roster for the game for both teams?

If I saw names for the Utah Select Team I can probably tell who some of them are.

He played, but he seemed a little hesitant last night. He played much better when they played BYU. I'm sure he will be much better when he has a few practices with the guys under his belt. I think he is going to be pretty good though. He's very strong, seems pretty good in the air, tackles well, and can hold the ball. He just needs to get comfortable with the other players.

Isn't that one of the signs of the appocalypse. πŸ˜‰

Actually, this is the first game I've seen Dipsy play really well in.

Perhaps it was simply because the Men's select foolishly gave him space to dribble, or perhaps it was because of the impending apocolypse, or simply because he was playing outside midfield instead of forcing him into a post up single attacker...

In any event, I've never seen him play with such tenacity and hustle. And he played very well working with Nelson...their styles of play complement each other well. I think I'd like to see him play there with the main squad.

Other standouts from the game included Cameron Knowles, who looked very solid distributing from the back. (I hope the kid who's leg he broke is doing better)

Nik Besagno played the second half, and as a first impression, he's got a lot of promise. He'll need some time to get used to the team, but he plays well positionally, and looks very good on the ball. He also plays with surprising physicality for somebody so young.

For all of you who didn't make it, you missed a beautiful header by Jamie...assisted by Sergio Flores, I believe. I wish I had a photo, it was poetry.

All in all, a good outing...I was surprised by some of the talent on the select team.

Is Sergio playing Right Fullback or in the midfield? I like those converted forwards as defenders...
