I am actually pretty glad I made it. I would encourage others to do it also. Or get a RSL jersey with your nick on the back.
I've been wanting to do that as well, but didn't want to stick out like a sore thumb. Now that I know others may be doing it, I'll try and do it too.

Old Ska..props on the cards you handed out....
May I make a suggestion. While hanging out near the rear of the Loyalists during the other games and participating in the chants and songs, I've always wondered why much of the rest of the stadium doesn't chime in. During the WCQ, my seats were up on row 25 of that same section - but I could hardly hear the chants and songs from the Loyalists in order to try and join in. I'm thinking it may be helpful for a few chanters or singers to turn around and sing or chant up towards the fans as well - that may fuel more desire for people to join in if they can hear/understand what's being chanted or sung.

Congrats Fuegote! My son was blessed the day after as well! What a great weekend!!!

I was concerned my voice would give out - but I held in there. 😎

Right, these would be chant leaders.

And usually the chant leaders and the main drums stand in the center of a section. The Loyalists group may be too small for that currently, but typically that is how it is done in larger supporter's groups (like in England). The sound works its way forward and backward much more effectively that way. I have even been to matches where there are people at all four corners of a section with those walkie-talkie enabled phones getting prompts from the chantleaders in the center. But for now the easiest thing would be to assign a couple of chant leaders and move the drums back about 8 - 10 rows. I think you would be amazed at what a difference that makes. And keep the chants going for a looooooooooong time. We did a really good job of this during the WCQ: start a chant and keep it going until action on the field dictates otherwise, and then start another.

Then we almost had 3 future Loyalists blessed on June 5th.
Unfortunately, my in-laws convinced me to wait a week for our son so they could be here.
Still, congrats Fuegote and Aerick!

But in short, that RSL fan is my wife. The guy had been a complete jerk to her the whole game. He insulted her... he insulted my cousins who were with her and is lucky that I was not there. His conduct was completly out of line and uncalled for. But he did what he had hoped and got under my wifes skin and she let him have it. She was still upset about it when I got home at about midnight, after I got all of my obligations for the day wrapped up.

If even half of what my wife told me was truem had been there I would have cold clocked the guy instead of yelling at him.

Does my opinion change because he was a Dallas fan... no. If anyone ever treats my wife or family the way he treated my wife they will be lucky to get off with just a tounge lashing.

Siffice it to say... you should know the whole sittuation before casting any sort of judgment.

😠

Ok now that is out... the fun loving dysko you know it back.

I wasn't casting judgement. I'm sorry if it seemed that way. I guess the only judgemental item I wrote was that I thought that the yelling was rude, which I still think is true, but considering the goings on that I didn't see, I understand better now. I was only in that section for the RSL game... anything before that and I'm out of the loop. I only heard the Dallas fan loudly ask if they were going to stand the whole game and if they were ever going to sit down. Oh, and "Are you happy now." As I recall, that is all I heard from them. I wasn't there for more of it so you have to understand that I probably didn't get the complete picture. Thank you for filling me in.

Anyhow, I mean no disrespect. I was just issuing a cautionary tale about standing outside of Loyalists sections (of which E33 is not, right?) and how at any sporting event that kind of thing can get yucky.

I'm sorry about the whole altercation.

Hopefully we will all know what to do in the future.

I would have but from my perspective it was an exchange between two fans, one sitting and one standing. I didn't hear any exchanges between the two before the RSL game.

This is what I saw:

I saw a fan sitting down and a fan standing a row ahead of the sitting fan. The fan sitting down yelled at the standing fan, asking if they were going to stand the whole game. The standing fan yelled back and said they weren't because they were season ticket holders and were in the Loyalists section.

They were complete strangers to me, one had an RSL shirt and the other had no indicative connections to FC Dallas.

I guess I feel responsible because I brought it up and was near there to see it happen. I wish I had known more about the situation.

Right after it happened, we started a cheer about it. I can't remember exactly what it was, but it was something along the lines of "Real fans stand up" or something like that. I'm pretty sure that he got the message that everyone around him supported Dysko's wife in the exchange. And as far as I know, there weren't any problems after that.

Scilaci I wasn't calling you out. Sorry if sounded that way.
I just wanted to say we should look out for one another.
