I would suggest Washington (center), Watson, Tiger, Mathis, and Williams. Two of which would act as the wings on the front (Watson and Tiger/Williams), while the other two would be attacking mids (Tiger/Williams and Mathis). This formation with Dipsy coming in as a sub for Watson or whoever is on the other wing.

Feel free to tear this strategy apart. :D

Actually I like that strat a great deal. My only quibble would be whether Mathis should be there or not. If he can't score, or make some meaningful shots on goal, get him out of there.

I was thinking Mathis could be used to create for the guys up front like Williams. I've kind of given up on Mathis turning into some sort of scoring machine, but like someone mentioned above, he may still have the vision. And with someone streaking towards goal like Watson, Dipsy or Tiger (and creating off-ball opportunities which Watson and Dipsy seem apt to do) he may have those "create" options more frequently than he's had up to this point.

Mathis does have a few assists this season.

If he doesn't, we would still be looking for our first goal of any game. 🙄

I agree that Mathis has real quality in vision, and could make some great passes from midfield to a RUNNING forward (watson). The problem is, he spends so much time and energy yelling at ref's and just being pissed, that he seems to be too distracted to actually play the game. I love Mathis when he is playing like he cares (remember Korea '02) but I think a benching from his buddy Coach E could really be a good thing. He wont give the attitude he did in Germany to E, and some time out could make him care...or he quits football altogether.

Leave out Williams (he's part of the problem, not the solution) and I'm with you on this one. And what happened to Kreamalmeyer? We haven't heard of him for quite awhile. I think he could help, too. Or did he do something to tick off the coach and get "benched".
